Just so you don't think I abandoned this project completely. Here is a photo of the smaller 8 x 10 piece I'm doing of the same subject. I decided I'd work on the small one first because I don't feel like screwing up the larger one yet. Once I get the hang of the flowers I will move onto the bigger painting. The foxglove are proving to be much harder than I anticipated. Still no birds in the painting. And lots more work to do on the blossoms. I think I've figured out the colours I want. Now to keep them uniform.

OMG, that looks fantastic. I am in love with the colors.
Very pretty! I cannot wait to see it!! About how long does it take you to complete a painting?
Thank Maria, Amber. They take anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending.
I sort of finished the 8 x 10...I'm not happy with it at all. I don't like the flowers and the hummingbird ended up odd. I'm going to have to fiddle with it a bit so see if I can salvage it......
Turns out some days you're the bug...some days you're the windshield.
Leola, these are wonderful!!!!
It's WONDERFUL!
Sue.
