After watching the pastel tut at EBSQart last week, I decided to try and put the lesson to the test. Guess what....it was much harder than it looked on the tut. This is a 4 x 6" OSWOA. I had to work a little larger than usual to get the feel for the pastels. I think it will be quite some time before I am confident enough to try smaller. The scan has not shown the colours very well. The cougar's eyes are blue and the fur is a lot more "orangy". I wonder why the colours are washing out? I will have to try and scan again I thing. I chose to do a cougar because the tut was of an animal. Animals are not my favourite things to paint.Tuesday, July 21, 2009
