Doll house Miniature Paintings

The mini's are back. 1.5" x 2" signed and dated on the back. I've painted the edges black so you don't have to frame them if you don't want to. The bottom painting is how our lake looked last night. Storm clouds started forming as the sun settled in the west.
Created especially for Dollhouse collector's, these mini's are also great for any miniature collection. Each comes with it's own Certificate of Authenticity from EBSQart. You can find them here: Ebay

Art Show - FOTM at EBSQart

Finally I have something to add here. I have entered two paintings for the "flower of the Month" show at EBSQart.com This month's theme is "ferns". I love the little fiddleheads. It amazes me how these little things can unravel themselves into the lush fern leaves that we see whenever you hike in dense woods. All they seem to need is a teeny bit of light to get them going.
They are both 4" x 6" oil on acrylic paintings. I haven't listed either. They both need some drying time and to cure a bit. Maybe I'll list them next month.

Pencil Drawing

This is a pencil drawing I did from a photo of our great grandmother. A gift for my brother.

Random act of Kindness

It's funny how one little act of kindness, one little reaching out for no particular reason, can change someone's outlook on life. I know an artist who from time to time shares wonderful things with people she cares for. Happy things that are meant to bring joy. I was the lucky recipient today and am reminded that we need to randomly share things from time to time for our own well being.

Northern Lights

Electric Pink

A pink cascade of Northern Lights. What could be better??? Although you would have to travel pretty far up norht I think to catch these pink ones. I have seen lots of green but only a few pinks.

You can find this 2 1/2" x 3" art card listed on Ebay here

New Lotus (water lily) painting

Lotus Twilight

I love dark paintings and especially love the look of flowers at night. They take on an almost glowing look. One of my goals was to plant a night blooming flower garden. I haven't done it yet, but it is definitely on my "to do someday" list. Lots of white blooms, with plenty of fragrance. It would be so calming and peaceful in the moonlight :)

I painted this one just the other day. It is a 4" x 6" oil and acrylics. It is on Ebay here

I have some other ideas for some night floral paintings, but need to find the time to paint them.

More portraits

I finished the baby this morning. These are all sketches of Lelan (youngest grandson) in his various moods. It's for Jenn's birthday. I've been asked to tackle one more. An action sketch of Brayden so that Michelle will hav 3 altogether for something she is working on. I've something in mind, but will have to do a little more research. All I know is that for now, it will be an OSWOA (6" x 4") to match the size of a watercolour she has of Owen.

Working away at updating my links to my treasure of artist friends :) If you want to be added, or if your link should be changed, please let me know. I have found a couple that were wonky, so am trying to fix everything.

Portraits

I have been doing a few pieces for gifts. I painted portraits of my twin grandsons for my daughter Michelle's birthday. And I also sketched portraits of my 3 grandchildren for my daughter Erica. I've yet to tackle Lelan (the baby LOL) I've discovered (after initially refusing) that I like pencil sketches. It's fun. Anyway, Happy Birthday Girls. Enjoy!
