tip for aceo or miniature/small format painting

Want a cheap easy clean up tip for when you are painting with watercolour or acrylics? I imagine it works with oils too. Just purchase a flexible chopping mat. You know....those thin plastic mats that you use a few times and then toss.
I'm messy when I paint and have to have something under my canvas. I like these because I can blend paint, smoosh it around and play with it right on the mat.

Clean up is a breeze. Just wipe with a damp paper towl. Even if the acrylic is dried on you can still get it off with a little "hand sanitizer" (great for cleaning your acrylic filled brushes too) I finally gave in an threw out the mat I've been using for a couple of years, I swear. Paid $1.69 for a package of 2. I figure I shouldn't have to buy again for 4 or 5 years LOL

That is a great tip! I think they have these at the Dollar store here.

Great idea! I also use a palette that you can just peel your dried acrylic paint off of.

These are great. I have been using these for 3-4 years. You can get a package of 2 for $1 and Dollar Tree.
By the way, I love your small paintings.
