When does a yellow blob become a lightning storm? When I'm painting it :) Just a quick study of a work in progress today of the tail end of a lightning storm at dusk. This is a 16" x 20" stretched canvas painting that I have listed on Kijiji. You will find the listing here

This is so nice, Leola, and you definitely deserved the award for the wax wing painting.
Thanks for visiting my blog - I get lonely over there :)

Leola...you never cease to amaze with your outstanding paintings. This one is absolutely fantastic!
Thanks guys....I think I am finally beginning to be able to conceptualize and get what I want on canvas.
Wow!! So very beautiful!! You are so talented!!
Gorgeous Leola! Simply stunning!
Another stunning painting. Just love to watch lightning storms and you've captured it so well.
So THAT'S how you do it! Magnificent Southie!
Leola, Do you REALLY have storms like that where you live? They're beautiful on canvas, but I lived in Indiana for awhile, where we had a lot of lightning storms, and I thought they were scary.
Deb, I love it when a storm rolls in over the lake. We grab a coffee and watch the show. but....I am not thrilled when it's a hairy one.
wow you've been busy! i LOVE this one! I'm so glad you're doing larger pieces also!! you have such talent! I also think it's way under priced!
Have a merry christmas if I don't talk to you! (been working alot lately..)
