Been practising with my coloured pencils using Arlene Steinberg's layering technique from her book Masterful Color. I drew this one, but didn't have the proper materials so it's just a practise. When my blender comes I'll be able to burnish and the white dots will hopefully disappear. The hardest part is keeping the marbel "round". I also have a tendency to "muddy" the colours. Coloured pencils are fun though and a nice break from acrylics.Monday, June 23, 2008
Masterful Color Technique - Marbles
Been practising with my coloured pencils using Arlene Steinberg's layering technique from her book Masterful Color. I drew this one, but didn't have the proper materials so it's just a practise. When my blender comes I'll be able to burnish and the white dots will hopefully disappear. The hardest part is keeping the marbel "round". I also have a tendency to "muddy" the colours. Coloured pencils are fun though and a nice break from acrylics.
