August Perseids - Meteor Shower

One of the best meteor showers for people to watch. Usually starting near the end of July and lasting until sometime after the middle of August. On a clear night you can see many many meteors falling in the night sky. Here are two paintings on my take of the event. Both are aceo's (2.5" x 3.5") and are acrylics. Water Lily Lotus Paintings

I don't think there is anything more peaceful than Water Lilies. They are even calming to paint. There is such a quiet gentleness about them. Anyway, I painted these today. They are set to go on Ebay July 22. Seach "southshoreartist" on Ebay.

Flower of the Month June FUCHSIA - Patron's Choice

I'm so happy. I was lucky enough to receive "Patron's Choice" for the Flower of the month at EBSQart. June's flower was Fuchsia. This is a 4" x 6" acrylic & oil titled Fairy Shower. You can see the exhibition here: Fuchsia EBSQart FOTM

Killer Whales - aceo

Moonlight Swim. A quick aceo put up for auction tongiht. Done with acrylics. We saw a pod of whales when we were at Vancouver Island. We crossing on the ferry and saw them just by chance. It was a wonderful experience. We saw whales again this winter in Mexico. Not in pods, but alone. All you had to do was watch for the blow. Then all of a sudden a whale would appear. We spend hours watching for them. We never had a day go by that we didn't see some. You will find my listing here on Ebay

Lightning Painting

Another "lightning" painting. I paint according to the season, so lightning it is. Haven't figured out how to do hail, or I'd paint some of that :) You will find "Distant Lightning" listed on Ebay here It is aceo size painted with acrylics.

EBSQart FOTM - bougainvillea

This month the Flower of the month is Bougainvillea. Not ever having seen it live, I had to do a littls research and discovered that the magenta or purple parts are not even the flowers. The flowers are little white things. The purple flowers are all an illusion. I decided the whole idea of illusion must be perfect for fairies to hide in then. Here is my entry in the July show.
