Where to start.  I vowed this year, I would try to keep up my blog posts.....hmmm so far that's not working out so well.  I have been busy with art stuff though.......

We started a sub group on facebook (over 200 members in one month)  to enhance the parent aceo group on eBay.  Lots and lots of chatting has been going on there....and lots of information on projects that we are doing over at the big group. I'm a moderator of the big eBay group.  We are the oldest aceo group on eBay with over 5000 members and the owner of the group is Bone Diva who started the ACEO movement back in the day.... Also, I started my own art group on Facebook, it's for all mediums, all sizes except aceo (there are enough groups for them)  We are a loud boisterous group who share ideas, network, and art!  No topic is taboo.....(except aceo LOL)  Artists and collectors alike are welcome here....We also from time to time list calls for art etc. and anything "free" like online classes that we think may be of interest.

See you guys on the boards!!!!!

Zentangle inspired aceo of Khal Drogo from the game of thrones....

ACEO...my cat Lucy

"I Love Lucy" 3.5" x 2.5" acrylic

My first painting of 2013 and who better to paint but my orange tabby Lucy.  She's a sweet thing...She just finished biting the heck out of my arm because she wanted me to pet her and I was busy trying to list this on eBay.  For the most part she's sweet...just as long as we know she is queen of our house.  You will find this little painting listed here on eBay.

A new beginning.  2013 is now upon us and with that, I am going to try and keep one new year's resolution. Keep up my blog!!!!!  To that end..I found out yesterday that a piece I had done some time ago, was chosen as EBSQart's "Art of the Day"  Theme:  A New Beginning

EBSQart art of the day:  Just click here to be taken to the page

Cute little bug guards to keep wasps and other nasties out of your drinks in the summer.  (doesn't look like summer out there does it LOL)  I've been working on these, but didn't realize how time consuming they would be with the chain hand sewn on each one.

Really excited that 3 of my paintings are on display in the gallery at the Cultural Center here until January.

Deck the Halls...........Christmas scenes

I have been semi-busy painting, but this time on Christmas balls.  Each one has a different scene painted on it and then german glitter glass sprinkled on.

Laundry Day for Fairies    2.5" x 3.5" acrylic

A whimsical look at Fairies.  Even fairies have to do their laundry from time to time.  Here they have hung out their freshly laundered wings to dry!  You can find this painting listed on Ebay here

Northern Bay 4" x 6" acrylic

I have been woefully neglecting my blog.  And my paintings, but I finally got something done this week.  This is a little different than what I usually do.  I wanted to paint a waterfall and decided I wanted frozen and partially frozen ones.  We've seen frozen waterfalls before and they really are beautiful.  I experimented with the cliff, by using a knife to cut in the rock.

This painting can be found as usual listed on Ebay here

Spirit of the North OSWOA 4 x 6" postcard size painting

Spirit of the North 4" x 6" acrylic

What started out as a painting of Northern Lights, soon took shape of a spirit wolf....I don't know when the idea evolved, but I was actually thinking of the colour of glacial lakes...????...how northern lights and a wolf came out of that I'll never know....sometimes these things just take shape I guess LOL

You will find this 4" x 6" painting listed on Ebay here

ACEO Autumn Paintings

Autumn 2.5 x 3.5" ACEO acrylic

Autumn Storm  2.5 x 3.5" acrylic ACEO

Even though the days are still hot hot hot, and we are running the a/c steady, the nights have started cooling off and you can feel that "hint" of fall in the air.  Got me thinking of all the fall colours that will soon be popping up everywhere.  As usual will find my paintings listed on Ebay here  Free shipping within Canada :)
